Job Description:
As a Senior Associate Attorney, you will have the chance to work in a fast-paced environment and undertake a variety of responsibilities including:
- Managing a diverse caseload.
- Overseeing our legal team, which includes a senior attorney, junior attorney, and paralegal. This includes examination of case deadlines and delegation of tasks, as well as reviewing all materials prior to filing or service.
- Preparing complex pleadings.
- Crafting correspondence to clients, experts, and opposing attorneys.
- Meeting with clients and experts.
- Representing clients at court hearings, depositions, and settlement conferences.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience practicing family law.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the California Family Code, Code of Civil Procedure, and Evidence Code.
- Extensive courtroom experience, including evidentiary hearings and trials.
- Strong legal writing and research skills.
- Prior leadership/management experience.
- Proficiency in computer skills using Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Xspouse/Xarrears software.
