About Me
Tiara Simmons, born and raised in New York, came to Moshtael Family Law with over ten years of experience in the legal field, starting in 2013 when she co-founded the Charter Legal Clinic in Long Beach, CA. Tiara has also clerked for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office, the Southwestern Law School Immigration Clinic, and a history in public interest law. Before joining our firm, Tiara worked over five years as a law clerk/paralegal in family law and one year as a licensed attorney. Tiara is the founder of 4WheelJD. At 4WheelJD, she provided family law and estate planning services.
Tiara’s work in family law and public interest law, has provided her a vast experience with diverse individuals.
Tiara received her Juris Doctorate in 2018 from Southwestern Law School. There, she became a member of the Trial Advocacy Honors Program, a trial competition team, Immigration Clinic, various law student affinity organizations, and the Public Interest Law Committee. She has sat on the executive board of organizations including Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha, Inc., and Autism in Long Beach. She currently sits on the board for the La Mirada Volunteer Center, National Disabled Legal Professional Association, and Community Heroes.
While Tiara’s list of accomplishments and involvement may be extensive, she believes her greatest accomplishment is in her role of wife, mother, ally, and advocate. These are the lenses through which she views the legal field.
